    Questions

    Good to know

Is melt and pour real soap?

Yes. It's oils already turned into soap with lye, plus glycerin so it melts again. No lye is left in the base and there's no cure: bars are ready once they set, in about 4 hours.

How many bars does each tub make?

9 bars from 2 lb, 23 from 5 lb and 46 from 10 lb, at 3.5 oz per bar.

    Which base should I choose?

For clear bars, embeds and bright colour: glycerin, or aloe vera and honey for a light tint. For creamy, opaque bars: goat milk, shea butter, oatmeal & shea or Three Butters.

How much fragrance can I add?

About 0.5 oz of fragrance oil per pound of base, as in our recipe book; essential oils a little less. Stir it in once the base has cooled to 125°F.

    Why is my soap sweating?

Glycerin in the soap draws moisture from the air. Wrap bars airtight once they've set and store them somewhere dry.

    What's in the tub?

One solid block in a lidded tub, with the printed user guide and recipe book. Cut what you need and close the lid on the rest.

    Where are the bases made?

In Greece. Every base lists its full ingredients, and each one is free of palm oil and SLES.
